Day-wise Itinerary

DAY-1 Arrival in New Delhi

Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, you will be escorted to your hotel. During the late afternoon, you will start your visit of the New Delhi by visiting the famous Dilli Haat market, an open-air food plaza and craft bazaar.

This bustling city is the best combination of the age-old and the contemporary era. Delhi has two distinct parts – New Delhi, the city created in 1911 as the imperial capital of India by the British and the Old Delhi, the Muslim capital of India between the 17th and 19th centuries.

DAY-2 New Delhi Sightseeing

After your breakfast at around 10 AM, you will start your visit of the New Delhi architecture, starting with the famous Qutab Minar, a minaret that forms part of the Qutab complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you will visit the India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House) from the outside. Post that you will visit the famous Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, one of the most prominent Sikh gurudwara, or Sikh house of worship, in  India. You will then visit the famous Lodi Garden after which you will visit the famous Humayun’s Tomb of the Mughal Era. In the evening you will visit the bustling Connaught Place, a frenetic business and financial hub, centered on a ring of colonnaded Georgian-style buildings with global chain stores, vintage cinemas, bars and Indian restaurants.

DAY-3 New Delhi to Ahmedabad ( 1.30 Hours Flight )

After your breakfast you will be transferred to the Delhi Airport for your onward journey to Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad forms the largest city of the state of Gujarat and has primarily the Gujarati speaking population spread across. After reaching Ahmedabad and checking in the hotel, post your lunch and relaxing a little, in the late afternoon, you will leave for your visit of the Sabarmati Ashram which remains to be one of the major tourist attractions in Gujarat. It used to be home to Mahatma Gandhi, from where he led India’s fight for independence. The Ashram has been preserved extremely well and is an abode of peace and tranquility. Spend some time in the peace and tranquility of the Ashram before heading back to the hotel.

DAY-4 Ahmedabad Sightseeing

Get up at your own pace and after a hearty breakfast at the hotel you will leave for the second day of your sightseeing of Ahmedabad. Today you will start your trip with a visit to the Calico museum of textiles, a premier textile museum which houses a varied collection of textiles in India.  You shall also be visiting the Swaminarayan temple, which is another architectural marvel along with the famous Jain temple, Hutheesingh Temple. A relaxed  evening at the hotel.

DAY-5 Ahmedabad to Little Rann of Kutch ( 5 Hours Drive )

After an early breakfast you will leave for your onward journey to the Little Rann of Kutch, which is a salt desert located in the Kutch district of Gujarat in the Thar desert. During the way you will visit the fortified city of Patan founded in 745 AD with a very interesting history behind it. You will also visit the famous and architecturally magnificient Rani ki Vav stepwell. After reaching Kutch and relaxing a little, in the evening you will go out to see the Kachch museum which has a vast collection of varied artefacts from weapons to silverware to textiles and other related stuff showcasing the Kutch lifestyle and culture.  A relaxed evening at the resort.

DAY-6 Little Rann of Kutch

Today, you will go for an early morning safari of the Rann of Kutch, spread across a sprawling 5000 sq km. The white sands amidst the arid land spread across is an unforgettable sight. Little Rann of Kutch is also famous for the wildlife reserve the Wild Ass Sanctuary, which is one of the largest wildlife reserves of India. You will start your jeep safari of this emormous salt desert giving you the option of choosing wild animals or birds that you would want to explore. The most famous of the birds are the flamingos and demoiselle cranes, while you would have a chance to see white-footed fox and hoopoe lark  amongst other animals including jackals, nilgai, black buck antelope, chinkara gazelle and other cats. The Safari would last for about 3 - 4 hours.  In the afternoon you can opt for a bullock cart ride or a safari tour around the village and interact with the locals to understand their lifestyle. You shall visit the rural Vadiara and Kharapat Rabaris of Dasada, known for their embroideries, including a visit to other societies near the area.

DAY-7 Little Rann of Kutch to Gondal ( 5 Hour Drive )

After your Gujarati breakfast, you will head to your onward destination of Gondal, a municipality in the district of Rajkot in Gujarat. After reaching the Gondal, you will go out to visit the Naulakha Palace, an 18th century extant palace famous for its stone carvings and the delicately carved arches. Have a relaxed evening ahead at the hotel.

DAY-8 Gondal to Junagadh to Gir National Park ( 4 Hour Drive )

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you shall be leaving for  the city of Junagadh to visit the impressive, Uparkot fort, famous for its inscriptions dating back to 250 BCE.  You will hence continue your journey to the Gir National Park. Gir is the only natural habitat of world popular for Asiatic Lions coupled with thousands of other elusive wild animals and hard-to-find birds like uncommon Asiatic wild ass, hyenas, Gir foxes, pygmy woodpecker, brown fish owl and black buck. After reaching Gir National Park by around evening and checking in the beautiful nature resort, which will be your stay for the next couple of days, you will relax and have a nice relaxed evening at the resort. You can opt for different activities including cycling expeditions, nature walks, spa and much more that the resort has to offer.

DAY-9 Gir National Park Safaris

Today you will head out for an early morning  safari excursion of the wilderness of the Gir National Park. The speciality of this National Park is the chances  to spot Asiatic Lion is immense as a good number of them reside in the park because the entire forest reserve is dry and desiduous. The reserve has amongst its wilderness a plethora of wildlife species along with some exquisite bird species. Another speciality of the reserve  is Chowsingha, which is the only four horned antelope found anywhere in the world. After the exhilarating wildlife watching experience for about 4 hours, you shall be back to the resort for a late breakfast and to unwind yourself after the breathtaking experience. After relaxing a bit and post an early lunch, you can optionally go for another afternoon safari or experience other activities that the resort has to offer including nature walks, temple visits or visiting the village.

DAY-10 Gir National Park to Palitana ( 5 Hours Drive )

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards your next destination of Palitana, which happens to be a major pilgrimage centre for the Jains. This is the only mountain in the world where you will find across 900 temples. After reaching the city by afternoon, you will checkin to the hotel for a relaxed stay. In the evening you can go out to check the local bazaars and cuisines escorted by our guides.

DAY-11 Palitana Sightseeing

Today, you will go for an early morning climb of the Shetrunjaya hills, which are about 2000 ft over Palitana town and believed to span 863 shrines.  You will be in a palanquin carried by two people to take you up to the hills. The temples of Palitana are as old as the 12th century and are exquisitely carved in marble. The most important temples are that of Shri Adishwar and Choumukh temples. Some of the other famous temples include Kumarpal, Vimalshah and Sampriti Raja temples. You will spend a relaxed evening at the hotel.

DAY-12 Palitana to Vadodara ( 5 Hours Drive )

After breakfast you will head to your final destination of Vadodara, the third largest city of Gujarat. In the way you will stop at the archaeological site of Lothal, one of the southernmost cities of the Indus Valley civilizations. The site was discovered in 1954 and formed an important trading centre in ancient times. The Lothal site has been nominated as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your visit to the Laxmi Vilas Palace, the residence of Vadodara’s royal family, is a must after reaching Vadodara. Have a relaxed stay at the hotel.

DAY-13 Vadodara Sightseeing & Vadodara to New Delhi (1.30 Hours Flight )

After breakfast, you will head to the archaeological park of Champaner - Pavagadh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park includes heritage monuments including palaces, mosques, temples, stepwells etc. You shall be back to Vadodara for your evening flight to New Delhi.

DAY-14 New Delhi Airport

Early morning at 6:30 AM you set out to experience the charm of Old Delhi on cycle taking you through the unique mix of colours, smells, sounds, tastes and unforgettable images of Delhi. Starting with Jama masjid, one of the largest mosque’s in India, you then visit the famous 17th century market which also happens to be the busiest, known as the Chandni chowk market. Some other attractions would include the Red Fort and finally ending with a lavish breakfast and then back to the hotel, and after your breakfast, you would leave shortly to the airport for your onward destination.
