Day-1 | NEW DELHI TO DIMAPUR TO KOHIMA (5 HOUR FLIGHT & 3 HOUR DRIVE)

You will board an early morning connecting flight to Dimapur via Guwahati. After your arrival at Dimapur airport, you shall begin your 3 hour journey to Kohima in a private vehicle. After reaching Kohima, you will be escorted to your hotel.

Spend a relaxed evening in the hotel, overlooking the scenic beauty of the hills and clouds, while relishing the delightful delicacies of Nagaland.

Day-2 | THE HORNBILL FESTIVAL

After your breakfast, you shall visit the Naga Heritage Village (12 KM from Kohima) to take part in the merriment and fanfare of the famous Hornbill festival. The Hornbill festival is celebrated every year, to resuscitate and protect the traditional culture of Nagaland and to promote inter-tribal interaction. Enjoy the local games, food, arts & craft, sports, enriching dance performances and traditional ceremonies. In the evening, you can experience the main attraction of the festival; The Hornbill National Rock concert. Both local and international rock bands perform in this thrilling concert. One should not miss this ‘festival of festivals’.

Day-3 | HORNBILL FESTIVAL & KOHIMA EXCURSION

After your breakfast, you shall spend 2 hours at the Hornbill festival; admiring the traditional paintings, wood carvings and sculptures. Try out the local food fairs, games and sports. Post that you will visit the captivating Khonoma village, traveling through the stunning hill roads. Enjoy the terrace paddy fields, the captivating nature and the beautiful flora of the first green village of India. After returning to Kohima, you shall visit the famous 2nd World War cemetery, built in 1944, dedicated to the soldiers of the 2nd British Division of the Allied Forces who died in Second World War.

Day-4 | VILLAGE EXCURSIONS

After breakfast, if you wish you can visit the Hornbill festival for some shopping. Thereafter, you will be taken to Tuophema village to enjoy a guided walk through the incredible village as you get to know more about their rich culture and heritage. You shall also visit the charming Jakhama village and spend a memorable time in the lap of nature, witnessing the mesmerizing green paddy fields and more. Spend a relaxed evening ahead at the hotel enjoying some local delicacies.

Day-5 |KOHIMA TO DIMAPUR TO NEW DELHI ( 3 HOUR DRIVE & 5 HOUR FLIGHT )

After your breakfast, you will return to Dimapur and thereafter, board your connecting flight back to Delhi via Guwahati.
